For eyeliner-I use any eyeliner-the trick is to buy the eyeshadow primer that many cosmetic companies offer-then whether you use cheap or expensive liner, it will stay on all day (I use Bare Minerals Primer or Lo-real makes one called Decrease but it is harder to apply; Lancome and Elizabeth Arden make one as well.) Another trick I learned was to line your eyes with any eyeliner pencil and then go over the lines with a powdery shadow of the same shade. Your eyeliner will stay on all day no matter what brand you choose...Maybelline, Estee Lauder, Cover girl, etc. The trick is the powder eyeshadow. It keeps it there all day.

For blush, Lancome Tendre Rose (a brown rose shade) because I have Rosacea and want to decrease any pink on my skin.

For lip gloss-I prefer lipsticks and lip liner because I have small lips. I find matte lipsticks work better on my lips because they last longer, but they are not glossy since I have oily skin and don't want to look any shinier. A trick-make sure your lips are dry when you apply your lipsticks. I used to put on chap skick and lip moisturizers first which only smudged my lipstick. I think they make a primer for lips, but I've never used one.

For foundation-I prefer non-oily foundation with a matte or powdery finish-like The Body Shop-Oil free balancing foundation w/sunscreen or Bare Minerals Foundation because it looks less fake than some of the liquids--But the best foundation I've ever used is Chanel Matte Finish foundation (pricey for me); It is so light and smooth. It really depends on your skin type. If you have oily skin, use oil-free products. Also, don't put on a heavy moisturizer a matte moisturizer in the summer if you have a problem with ';shine'; and a thicker moisturizer in the winter when your skin has less oil in it. I use Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion SPF 15 by The Body Shop and wash with Pan Oxyl soap ($10.00 at grocery store) in the summer (My son's dermatologist uses it and recommended it for my teenager--better than those benzl peroxide creams that just dry out parts of your skin and make it peel). It keeps the oil on my face from building up as bad in the summer and keeps my makeup fresh all day.

Really, the products and primers you use to care for your skin will maximize the use of whatever makeup you use. So, concentrate on getting the right brushes to apply your makeup, the right skin care products with sunscreen and the paying attention to your skin type (oily, dry, combination) and you can't go wrong.

If you use ELF cosmetics, what's your favorite product and why?

It's between the lip gloss and the tinted moisturizer. I love that they both have SPF 15. The lip gloss lasts a lot longer than other glosses I've had. And all of the colors (I purchased just about every one) work with my skin tone. And the taste is pleasant, but not overpowering. It's a good gloss for a dollar.

The moisturizer is tiny, but it's awesome. I still use moisturizer beforehand, but it's great for light coverage. It just evens out the light unevenness in my skin. For my acne, I still have to use some spot concealer (I use the cover stick and the concealer brush from elf which also work rather well.) But all in all I like it. It's light, but it works.

And I bought most of the brushes. The bronzer one sheds, but the eye brushes have all worked great for me.If you use ELF cosmetics, what's your favorite product and why?
I really like there sugar kiss Daring Mascara(the black side only) - it seperates your lashes beautifully and made them seem lengthier. If you use ELF cosmetics, what's your favorite product and why?
My favorite product from ELF is the nail polish remover pads, one pad seems to go a long way.........other than that their make-up sucks!
i would get the brushes and the lip glosses but that's it.
I don't use them. they are a waste of money.

Are you allowed to take cosmetics and toilitries in your main luggage that goes in the hold of the plane?

can you take shaving foam, showergel etcAre you allowed to take cosmetics and toilitries in your main luggage that goes in the hold of the plane?
you can have those items into checked luggage ( not in the plane cabin ).

Passengers are not allowed to have gels or liquids of any kind at screening points or in the cabin of any airplane.

They said this includes beverages, food, suntan lotion, creams toothpaste, hair gel, or similar items. Those items must be packed into checked luggage. Beverages bought on the secure side of the checkpoint must be disposed of before boarding the plane.

There are several exceptions to the new rule. Baby formula, breast milk, or juice for small children, prescription medications where the name matched the name of a ticked passenger, as well as insulin and other essential health items may be brought onboard the plane.

Here http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/p鈥?/a>

you can find a detailed list of the permitted and proibited items. Are you allowed to take cosmetics and toilitries in your main luggage that goes in the hold of the plane?
yes
just cant bring it in your carryon
Yes, shaving cream, plastic or electric razors, shower gel, cosmetics, shampoo, hair spray, liquid makeup, and toiletries can all be placed in your suitcase and checked to go under the plane until you arrive in your city.

You can also take prescribed medications on the plane with you in a bag which must fit under seat of plane, as long as the prescriptions are labeled with your name and are NOT liquid.

Hope this helps you.
Yes you can take it in your main luggage.
yes you are allowed all cosmetics if they are being checked in.

you can't take them on the plane with you.

although you can buy anything from departures and take it on... keep the receipt and keep them sealed
Yes, you can put your toiletries in luggage to go in the hold. You can take dry cosmetics in your make up bag on the flight, such as lipstick, face powder, but you can't take lip gloss or liquid foundation. I have just returned from Australia and used lipstick during my travel and packed my lip gloss in my suitcase. I also logged on to my departure airports website for up to date information on any restrictions and information. Try that for really up to date and correct information. Happy travelling and good luck.
YES!!!!!
In the uk, you cant take these items on a plane in your hand luggage. Perfumes and aftershaves are also not allowed.
In the US you can.
yes its just not in your hand luggage

x
yes!

you are just not allowed to take any liquids in your hand luggage.

If you go to your airlines website and look at their baggage policy that should give you more precise information. However, be warned that if you are travelling with more than one airline, the rules of the first airline will apply to the entirety of your return journey.

Whats your favorite cosmetics company?

mine are Clarins,MAC,and LancomeWhats your favorite cosmetics company?
Christian Dior. Their eyeshadows are very versatile, using wet or dry. They have an anti-bacterial so that I won't have to toss my five-pan if I ever get an eye infection.

Their mascaras too fantastic for words.

Their foundations are so light on my skin, I forget I'm wearing it, and it doesn't slide off my face in the heat. And their colors match skin tones so closely, I've never seen anything like it before.

Their skin care is top notch. I've seen little old ladies come in to get a makeover. Girl puts that XR60/80 on one side of grandma's face and not the other. Literally in five minutes, grandma looks like she's had a face lift on one side of her face.

They have so many different shades and types of lipstick, I could stand at their counter all day long and pick lipsticks, and they don't fade off like Chanel or Lancome. They are also way cheaper than Chanel and Lancome, and just a little more expensive then Estee Lauder.

And then, of course, there's J'adore . . . need I say more?Whats your favorite cosmetics company?
MAC AND PRESCRIPTIVES
MAC for sure.
MAC from macys
Smashbox or Philosophy. (no animal testing)

I do object, however, to the general idea that women are born physically imperfect and must spend money to improve themselves.

Self-decoration should be artistic, not desperate.

MAC. It's the best stuff out there.
MAC for sure
MAC, Clarins and philosophy. Once in awhile I use clinique.
MAC if i feel like using a lot of money,

but NYC's makeup line is amazing. everything they have is from 1-5 dollars!!!
As I professional comsetologist/makeup artist, I suggest using Clinque for facial makeup considering their products are very light and sheer. I also recommend Lancome and Estee Lauder for their great line of eyeliners and cheek colours since they are have more natural/mattee colours. And I suggest MAC for a glamourized look.

  • What's your take on Nyx Cosmetics?

im thinking of ordering and i've seen two mac%26amp;nyx comparing videos and nyx got the better end.

but i want some more takes ^^What's your take on Nyx Cosmetics?
They have some great products very compairable to high end brands like MAC! I'll give you an overview of the products I've tried.

Lipglosses- I've tried a few, they are very nice, look great on, not sticky, and the colors are awesome.

Lipsticks- Very nice and pigmented, especially for the chreap price, they stay on really well and don't dry out my lips like other brands do.

Loose eyeshadows- Wonderful for only 99 cents, very pigmented and they look great on.

Pressed shadows- Also great and very pigmented, I love them just as much as my MAC shadows.

Blush- I have one blush and it's really nice and just a tiny bit of it goes a long way.

Nail polishes- I much prefer these over OPI, they stay on really well with no chipping.

Jumbo eyeshadow pencils- I love these as a base under my eyeshadow.

I also have an eyeliner brush and some lip liners, all are really awesome especially for the price.

If you do order any, get it from cherryculture.com since they have lower prices than the NYX site. I highly reccomend any of their stuff! What's your take on Nyx Cosmetics?
I have used both, MAC is far superior to NYX. you get what you pay for
MAC is better, but NYX is more affordable.
It depends on your taste. Personally, I love both brands. MAC to me is high pigmented, you only need a dab to get colour, but NYX compares well.

NYX has jumbo eyeshadow pencils, amazing colours and beautiful pigmentation! They look exactly how the pencil shows them on the eyes, but they are creamy which unfortunately equals to creasing. Use a good base such as UDPP, and they'll stay beautifully put for hours. They are very comparable to MAC Shadesticks, personally I like NYX a bit better in that department because I find Shadesticks are a bit harder to apply unless you warm it up with your hands.

Another comparison is the MAC Pigments to the NYX Ultra Pearl Mania. I love the UPM's, you can get them at cherryculture.com for 99 cents a piece, comparable to MAC's pigments which here in Canada retail for 24.50 a piece. I've only tried one of MAC's pigments (Chartreuse, BEAUTIFUL green, works wonders on brown eyes), and a few UPM's by NYX. I personally prefere MAC's just because I find they stick better to the skin and have better colour payoff when you use it dry, however NYX's are great too and dirt cheap. Use a primer and wet the NYX loose shadows, and you have eye popping colours. They have some great highlight colours. The only other negative thing is that they only have mostly blues and pink tones with their pigments, while MAC has many colours (but expensive) to chose from.

Basically, if you are looking for a good pigmentation with a beautiful range of colours, go with NYX. If you are more high end and prefere high quality products, go with MAC.

I will say, NYX is one of my favourite drugstore brands out of all that I've tried, and being a Makeup Artist, I've tried basically every brand out there today! Wet 'n' Wild makes beautiful metallic eyeliner colours as well, and I love L'Oreal mascara and blush.

For eyeshadows however, I stick with NYX and MAC.
