How do u open a cosmetic business?

think it would be good to open a business for women since they love makeupHow do u open a cosmetic business?
Put your ideas together in a written and/or Power Point format and try to pitch it to the Estee' Lauder corporation. You'd be surprised how many different cosmetic lines they back. How do u open a cosmetic business?
Get ahold of me at www.marykay.com/rebecca. I will help you make your business a success. I love MK, and I left a $60,000 career to do Mary Kay and my income keeps climbing. check it out. You can e-mail me or call me with any questions you may have about a career in cosmetics with Mary Kay.
You would need to create a business plan, get a loan, contact cosmetic companies, lease a space... There are many different cosmetic stores from all the department stores and sephora, and ulta. You need to think about a unique angle of why women would come to your store, are you going to give make up lessons, host girls nite out parties, eyebrow shaping? Or you could always become a Mark sales rep, so you get the sales and product but with out all the high start up costs and the responsibility. Good Luck.
Something you might think about doing to get more experience and ideas would be to sell Mark Cosmetics. It's Avon's fun and youthful makeup line. While you are working on your business plan, which can take awhile if you really want to do it right, you can sell Mark to see what you would and wouldn't do differently from them. You'll get to try out different sales techniques and build a customer base, plus you can take some of their ideas when you open your own business.

You could also look into being a makeup artist for weddings. My sister in law just went into different wedding planners with a business card that said she was a makeup artist, and now she is one of the most popular makeup artists in her city. She's always been great at doing makeup, but she didn't have any formal training. She mixes products a lot, and she has started selling custom blended lip color to people she worked with.

While you are deciding exactly how you want to approach the cosmetic business, make sure you come up with a unique angle or product. Yes, the demand for cosmetics is really high, but so is the supply. There are so many makeup companies out there. You will need to be creative and come up with a way to make your company extra special.

You might want to take a business entrepreneur class or join a business networking group, too. It takes a lot of work to start your own business, but it can be really fun and rewarding.
