What is your opinion of cosmetic plastic surgery?

Without being politically correct,

What do you think of it? Would you get cosmetic plastic surgery? What is your opinion of cosmetic plastic surgery?
Never had any and Look Terrific

However , if I had an accident.. I would not hesitate to have any

If not no.. I will age gracefully and accept the days of our lives

Any accident , surgery is fine.. ( helps people with confidence , looks etc)

But for cosmetic reasons ( changing noses ( with bumps) who all claim they always fell and claim its an accident :) NO NO NO..

NO PLASTIC FANTASTIC FOR ME :)

IC XC NIKA

KYRIE ELEISON..What is your opinion of cosmetic plastic surgery?
i think cosmetic plastic surgery is very bad because when most people will want to look like this or that the surgeron will end doing a bad job making you look like a complete monster. if there a body part that you don't really like about yourself just leave it the way it is. and just love yourself becuase god created us differently.
I think plastic surgery should be reserved for those who actually NEED it and not for some idiot celebrity who can't deal with the fact that people age.

Seriously- some people don't even look human after some of that.
I don't think I'd ever do it myself; but I don't begrudge others if it makes them feel happier and more self-confident.

If nothing else, at least now it doesn't look like my brother is married to a two-by-four any more...
Nope I look fine as I am. I'm the way God wanted me to be and I'm happy as I am.
If there is a problem then yes. Why not? This covers it - http://best-cosmetic-surgeries.com/

Does any one out there love Mac cosmetics ? How do you apply your foundation?

I confess - I am a MAC Diva. I use several MAC Foundations including Hyperreal, Studio Fix, Studio Tech and Select SPF.

Here's how I apply them:

Studio Fix - since it's a powder foundation I use a powder brush. I started off with MAC's own powder brush but then switched to Smashbox's #1 powder brush because it's a lot better than MAC. When I first started using Studio Fix, I used the sponge that came with it but noticed a lot of product was wasted and a makeup artist recommended that I use a brush with SF and I haven't looked back since.

Hyperreal and Select SPF - these are liquids and you can use either your fingers, a sponge or a brush. I have always used MAC's #190 foundation brush. It's brilliant at getting right coverage and evenly distributing the foundation.

Studio Tech - this cream foundation is heavenly because it covers every single blemish! Even though this one comes with a sponge, I use the 190 brush when applying this. The brush minimises wastage and there is a noticeable improvement in the coverage when ST is applied with a brush. It also looks more natural because the sponge can give a rather artificial finish.

So the bottom line is that brushes rock! Make sure you clean them once a week and get a good brand (MAC and Smashbox are superb) and you can use them for several years!Does any one out there love Mac cosmetics ? How do you apply your foundation?
I am a makeup artist and this is how you apply it in 9 steps:

Foundation helps to even out skin tone and give the look of flawless skin. Apply in the morning and set with powder to keep a smooth complexion all day.

STEP 1: Begin with clean hands and a clean face.

STEP 2: Apply moisturizer appropriate to your skin type. Let it set a few minutes, particularly if your skin is oily.

STEP 3: Camouflage under-eye circles and blemishes with concealer.

STEP 4: Select a foundation that is appropriate to your skin type and the coverage you wish to achieve. The color should match your skin, disappearing when blended well.

STEP 5: Shake the bottle well to mix the formula. Or, simply open a stick or compact version.

STEP 6: Place a small amount of foundation on the back of one hand. Dip your makeup sponge or your middle finger into it.

STEP 7: Apply to the center of your face: cheeks, forehead, chin.

STEP 8: Blend out to your hair and jawline until the foundation vanishes. Pay special attention to blending around the nose, mouth and jawline.

STEP 9: Set the foundation with loose powder immediately following application.

Tips %26amp; Warnings

Foundation can be spot-applied to the areas where you need to even out your skin tone. Remember to set your face with loose powder after application.Does any one out there love Mac cosmetics ? How do you apply your foundation?
There are serveral different brushes that you can use to apply foundation. It also depends on the type of foundation that you are using. You should check out http://makeupdiversity.org for some more makeup advice. There are a alot of beauty experts who can help you out and there is a whole section devoted to MAC questions and answers and also sneak previews to the latest collections!
Hmm I either use the 187 brush or the 190 brush...I think there are some pretty great tutorials out there!

High End or Lower End Cosmetics..your preference?

i choose higher ends for certain types..not all high end cosmetics are creme of the crop. ive tried some more affordable products that outlasted and upstaged some the more costlier brands.

my fave:Dior

Least Fave:Covergirl

would love your awesome input ladies...and metro dudes (cant leave you dudes out) :)High End or Lower End Cosmetics..your preference?
I do prefer high end brands. Sure, they are mainly expensive, but they are an investment. They last longer and the quality of the make up is better. They usually don't make me break out and I have to touch up less often. Sure, some high end products aren't very good either. Some lower end products are great.

Favorite- MAC or Urban Decay

Least Favorite- Wet n Wild

Cover Girl saves itself from being the least favorite just because of LashBlast! It's amazing. :DHigh End or Lower End Cosmetics..your preference?
I am very picky about what I put on my face. For eye-shadows, MAC is definitely worth the price. The pigments are bright and vivid, and the selection ranges from mattes, shimmers, metallic shades, etc. I also use MAC eyeliner, but by far, the best mascara I have used so far is the Lash Stiletto mascara. I believe it is by Maybelline cosmetics. I love the glossy look it gives to my lashes. For glosses/lip plumpers, I use DuWop Lip Venom. It's a spicy cinnamon-y tingle, and the shine is impeccable.

In the end, I usually do end up going for the high-end cosmetics. I've gotten the best performance from them.

Fave: MAC

Least Fave: Covergirl
Generally I do prefer higher-end cosmetics like MAC, Lancome and Clinique. Overall the quality tends to be a lot better, it has more staying power and contains less ingredients that irritate my skin. Some lower-end cosmetics are nice, like Revlon ColorStay and CoverGirl Lash Blast, though.

Favorite brand: MAC or Lancome

Least favorite brand: NYC or Wet n Wild

I prefer to use a primer when I apply my cosmetics. I use a Revlon foundation primer, and a Lancome eyeshadow base.
I think the worst mascara ever is that maybelline one that everyone has been talking about. I think it's called great lash. I think mac eyeshadows are nice. I loved the prestige eyeliner in black. I got the waterproof one and it works really well. I also like how the pencil is the one where you twist it up, so you don't waste any products when you sharpen it. I think it smudged less than make up forever's aqua cream liners. My waterline smudged faster when I used the aqua cream liner. I also like shiseido's liquid liner. I use it a lot.

I don't apply a primer because I don't want to put that much stuff on the skin. I would do it if it's something special or when I'm going out with my boyfriend or something.
I gotta say high end cosmetics. I'm definitely not a label whore and I hate people that are, but when it comes to cosmetics, I'm more likely to find a high end brand that works well than a low end brand that does. There are definitely some gems out there in the drugstores, but you really have to dig, search, and research to find it.

Favorite: Makeup Forever

Least: NYC
lower end- its cheaper :)

but i like the higher end of the lower end, if you know what i mean.

if you do some research, and read some reviews, you can find really good drugstore brand stuff.

fave: revlon and maybelline

least fave: covergirl
I must say that I have expensive taste, to a point. I like, what I call, higher end.

Why u apply cosmetics on your face?

we apply cosmetics on our face coz they add more beauty for our face...it is only cosmetics which make a person beautiful.....Why u apply cosmetics on your face?
While i don't need too, I don't have any spots or anything, people tend to say 'you look tired' if i dont! Purely because we live in a world where everybody (even guys sometimes ...) wears makeup most of the time, and so i spose i feel like i have to wear it as well. Tbh i think makeup should be banned, people can get obsessive about it and we should be happy with who we are.Why u apply cosmetics on your face?
To hide flaws that you don't want people to notice? I use bareminerals because I have a birthmark on my face and it hides that wonderfully.
Make-up makes you think you look prettier, when you wear it you look good but when you don't you see everything you dont want everyone to see.
i wear make up because it adds more glow to my face but there are plenty of times when i go out without any makeup and just lip gloss and i like it
To enhance our natural looks.

Because we live in a world where men date women on looks.
to make my skin look slightly more tanned and to enhance my natural beauty!!! LOL

i also like putting it on
To enhance my features.
isnt it obvious?
to make yourself look better or stand out

I like MAC, Smashbox, Mary Kay, my mom gave me some Giorgio Armani eye shadows and they were good, and Clinique.
I adore Almay makeup because it is the only thing I have tried (and thats a lot, even the ';most gentle'; mineral makeup) that hasn't irritated, broken out, or basically screwed up my skin!

For eyeliner-I use any eyeliner-the trick is to buy the eyeshadow primer that many cosmetic companies offer-then whether you use cheap or expensive liner, it will stay on all day (I use Bare Minerals Primer or Lo-real makes one called Decrease but it is harder to apply; Lancome and Elizabeth Arden make one as well.) Another trick I learned was to line your eyes with any eyeliner pencil and then go over the lines with a powdery shadow of the same shade. Your eyeliner will stay on all day no matter what brand you choose...Maybelline, Estee Lauder, Cover girl, etc. The trick is the powder eyeshadow. It keeps it there all day.

For blush, Lancome Tendre Rose (a brown rose shade) because I have Rosacea and want to decrease any pink on my skin.

For lip gloss-I prefer lipsticks and lip liner because I have small lips. I find matte lipsticks work better on my lips because they last longer, but they are not glossy since I have oily skin and don't want to look any shinier. A trick-make sure your lips are dry when you apply your lipsticks. I used to put on chap skick and lip moisturizers first which only smudged my lipstick. I think they make a primer for lips, but I've never used one.

For foundation-I prefer non-oily foundation with a matte or powdery finish-like The Body Shop-Oil free balancing foundation w/sunscreen or Bare Minerals Foundation because it looks less fake than some of the liquids--But the best foundation I've ever used is Chanel Matte Finish foundation (pricey for me); It is so light and smooth. It really depends on your skin type. If you have oily skin, use oil-free products. Also, don't put on a heavy moisturizer a matte moisturizer in the summer if you have a problem with ';shine'; and a thicker moisturizer in the winter when your skin has less oil in it. I use Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion SPF 15 by The Body Shop and wash with Pan Oxyl soap ($10.00 at grocery store) in the summer (My son's dermatologist uses it and recommended it for my teenager--better than those benzl peroxide creams that just dry out parts of your skin and make it peel). It keeps the oil on my face from building up as bad in the summer and keeps my makeup fresh all day.

Really, the products and primers you use to care for your skin will maximize the use of whatever makeup you use. So, concentrate on getting the right brushes to apply your makeup, the right skin care products with sunscreen and the paying attention to your skin type (oily, dry, combination) and you can't go wrong.

    For blush: MAC Peaches Blush

    For lip gloss: Any really

    For foundation: Don't wear it.

If you use ELF cosmetics, what's your favorite product and why?

It's between the lip gloss and the tinted moisturizer. I love that they both have SPF 15. The lip gloss lasts a lot longer than other glosses I've had. And all of the colors (I purchased just about every one) work with my skin tone. And the taste is pleasant, but not overpowering. It's a good gloss for a dollar.

The moisturizer is tiny, but it's awesome. I still use moisturizer beforehand, but it's great for light coverage. It just evens out the light unevenness in my skin. For my acne, I still have to use some spot concealer (I use the cover stick and the concealer brush from elf which also work rather well.) But all in all I like it. It's light, but it works.

And I bought most of the brushes. The bronzer one sheds, but the eye brushes have all worked great for me.If you use ELF cosmetics, what's your favorite product and why?
I really like there sugar kiss Daring Mascara(the black side only) - it seperates your lashes beautifully and made them seem lengthier. If you use ELF cosmetics, what's your favorite product and why?
My favorite product from ELF is the nail polish remover pads, one pad seems to go a long way.........other than that their make-up sucks!
i would get the brushes and the lip glosses but that's it.
I don't use them. they are a waste of money.

Are you allowed to take cosmetics and toilitries in your main luggage that goes in the hold of the plane?

can you take shaving foam, showergel etcAre you allowed to take cosmetics and toilitries in your main luggage that goes in the hold of the plane?
you can have those items into checked luggage ( not in the plane cabin ).

Passengers are not allowed to have gels or liquids of any kind at screening points or in the cabin of any airplane.

They said this includes beverages, food, suntan lotion, creams toothpaste, hair gel, or similar items. Those items must be packed into checked luggage. Beverages bought on the secure side of the checkpoint must be disposed of before boarding the plane.

There are several exceptions to the new rule. Baby formula, breast milk, or juice for small children, prescription medications where the name matched the name of a ticked passenger, as well as insulin and other essential health items may be brought onboard the plane.

    Here http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/p鈥?/a>

you can find a detailed list of the permitted and proibited items. Are you allowed to take cosmetics and toilitries in your main luggage that goes in the hold of the plane?
    yes
just cant bring it in your carryon
Yes, shaving cream, plastic or electric razors, shower gel, cosmetics, shampoo, hair spray, liquid makeup, and toiletries can all be placed in your suitcase and checked to go under the plane until you arrive in your city.

You can also take prescribed medications on the plane with you in a bag which must fit under seat of plane, as long as the prescriptions are labeled with your name and are NOT liquid.

    Hope this helps you.
Yes you can take it in your main luggage.
yes you are allowed all cosmetics if they are being checked in.

you can't take them on the plane with you.

although you can buy anything from departures and take it on... keep the receipt and keep them sealed
Yes, you can put your toiletries in luggage to go in the hold. You can take dry cosmetics in your make up bag on the flight, such as lipstick, face powder, but you can't take lip gloss or liquid foundation. I have just returned from Australia and used lipstick during my travel and packed my lip gloss in my suitcase. I also logged on to my departure airports website for up to date information on any restrictions and information. Try that for really up to date and correct information. Happy travelling and good luck.
    YES!!!!!
In the uk, you cant take these items on a plane in your hand luggage. Perfumes and aftershaves are also not allowed.
    In the US you can.
yes its just not in your hand luggage

    x
    yes!

you are just not allowed to take any liquids in your hand luggage.

If you go to your airlines website and look at their baggage policy that should give you more precise information. However, be warned that if you are travelling with more than one airline, the rules of the first airline will apply to the entirety of your return journey.

    Whats your favorite cosmetics company?

mine are Clarins,MAC,and LancomeWhats your favorite cosmetics company?
Christian Dior. Their eyeshadows are very versatile, using wet or dry. They have an anti-bacterial so that I won't have to toss my five-pan if I ever get an eye infection.

Their mascaras too fantastic for words.

Their foundations are so light on my skin, I forget I'm wearing it, and it doesn't slide off my face in the heat. And their colors match skin tones so closely, I've never seen anything like it before.

Their skin care is top notch. I've seen little old ladies come in to get a makeover. Girl puts that XR60/80 on one side of grandma's face and not the other. Literally in five minutes, grandma looks like she's had a face lift on one side of her face.

They have so many different shades and types of lipstick, I could stand at their counter all day long and pick lipsticks, and they don't fade off like Chanel or Lancome. They are also way cheaper than Chanel and Lancome, and just a little more expensive then Estee Lauder.

    And then, of course, there's J'adore . . . need I say more?Whats your favorite cosmetics company?

  • What's your take on Nyx Cosmetics?

im thinking of ordering and i've seen two mac%26amp;nyx comparing videos and nyx got the better end.

but i want some more takes ^^What's your take on Nyx Cosmetics?
They have some great products very compairable to high end brands like MAC! I'll give you an overview of the products I've tried.

Lipglosses- I've tried a few, they are very nice, look great on, not sticky, and the colors are awesome.

Lipsticks- Very nice and pigmented, especially for the chreap price, they stay on really well and don't dry out my lips like other brands do.

Loose eyeshadows- Wonderful for only 99 cents, very pigmented and they look great on.

Pressed shadows- Also great and very pigmented, I love them just as much as my MAC shadows.

Blush- I have one blush and it's really nice and just a tiny bit of it goes a long way.

Nail polishes- I much prefer these over OPI, they stay on really well with no chipping.

Jumbo eyeshadow pencils- I love these as a base under my eyeshadow.

I also have an eyeliner brush and some lip liners, all are really awesome especially for the price.

If you do order any, get it from cherryculture.com since they have lower prices than the NYX site. I highly reccomend any of their stuff! What's your take on Nyx Cosmetics?
I have used both, MAC is far superior to NYX. you get what you pay for
MAC is better, but NYX is more affordable.
It depends on your taste. Personally, I love both brands. MAC to me is high pigmented, you only need a dab to get colour, but NYX compares well.

NYX has jumbo eyeshadow pencils, amazing colours and beautiful pigmentation! They look exactly how the pencil shows them on the eyes, but they are creamy which unfortunately equals to creasing. Use a good base such as UDPP, and they'll stay beautifully put for hours. They are very comparable to MAC Shadesticks, personally I like NYX a bit better in that department because I find Shadesticks are a bit harder to apply unless you warm it up with your hands.

Another comparison is the MAC Pigments to the NYX Ultra Pearl Mania. I love the UPM's, you can get them at cherryculture.com for 99 cents a piece, comparable to MAC's pigments which here in Canada retail for 24.50 a piece. I've only tried one of MAC's pigments (Chartreuse, BEAUTIFUL green, works wonders on brown eyes), and a few UPM's by NYX. I personally prefere MAC's just because I find they stick better to the skin and have better colour payoff when you use it dry, however NYX's are great too and dirt cheap. Use a primer and wet the NYX loose shadows, and you have eye popping colours. They have some great highlight colours. The only other negative thing is that they only have mostly blues and pink tones with their pigments, while MAC has many colours (but expensive) to chose from.

Basically, if you are looking for a good pigmentation with a beautiful range of colours, go with NYX. If you are more high end and prefere high quality products, go with MAC.

I will say, NYX is one of my favourite drugstore brands out of all that I've tried, and being a Makeup Artist, I've tried basically every brand out there today! Wet 'n' Wild makes beautiful metallic eyeliner colours as well, and I love L'Oreal mascara and blush.

For eyeshadows however, I stick with NYX and MAC.

    Everything MAC or Chanel
For me, I prefer and mostly use all natural, organic and mineral cosmetics. It's my preference and it's very good to my skin...plus, it doesn't look cakey and just looks closer to good skin...my skin, but better. =) I'm 30+ with tendency toward dry/sensitive skin...everywhere. So, that's my main concern area, that I like kept in order. I am also light medium-medium neutral beige with more peach than yellow or pink undertones.

Lips: I Love Lip Balms! I want extra moisturizing and am able to get it from: Jenulence - I love every balm, but the orange scented one, Alkanet Root balm is nice for when I want a hint of color...they moisturize like no other ; Aromaleigh - these aren't as moisturizing as Jenulence, but they are great for everyday and they smell so yummy %26amp; Same thing with Zosimos Botanicals as Aromaleigh, but ZB also taste great, then I also like Burt's Bees Beeswax Balm and Kiss My Face treat mint balm. *For Lip Color*: I enjoy the Lumi Lips from Lumiere -these aren't *sticky* or glazed looking like lipglosses, yet aren't too thick like lipsticks...a compromise between the two. I like the lipsticks from Aromaleigh and Zosimos Botanicals as well. For lipgloss I enjoy Silk Naturals - these are in a blam tube and have sheer tint and also not glossy or sticky. Prices range from $3.00 to $12.00 each.

Eye shadow: here it's all mineral for me. I love all kinds of different brands. For *wowser* * higher pigmented shades (usually used for eyelining) I love Lumiere's Glitz and Shimmers; Aromaleigh's Sonic Rocks! (these aren't as natural but they are wowsers) and their Pure Huges (natural mineral); Alima's Luminous Shimmers (muted wowser, but nice), Milan's ';Do You'; Pigments (these are similar to AL's Sonic Rocks!), My Minerals Bath %26amp; Body eyeshadows (some are also soft), Eyebrows: Lumiere Matte (they have very nice hair color shades), for softer colors/or as a base: Lumiere's Silkies, Mattes %26amp; 3-D eye powders, Aromaleigh's other eyeshadows (all are pretty), Everyday Minerals (there are a couple nice wowsers in the mix too), Valerie Beauty (also a few wowsers there), Terra Firma, bareFaced Minerals (love the senoran collection), Jenulence (these wear like iron).

Foundation: I use Lumiere almost exclusively and as my ';go to'; for everyday. My holy grail is Flawless foundation, but also enjoy using their Luminesse (for when I have a dull face day) and Cashmere (for when I want to apply *wet* w/ duo fiber optic) %26amp; sometimes I'll mix one of these with my Flawless. Other foundations/brands I like, but don't wear as much as Lumi are Mineral Essence, bareSelect and Jane Iredale's Liquid Minerals (I hate thick liquid makeup %26amp; this is more like a lotion..I use it more for concealing).

Blush/Face Colors: Lumiere, Dayna's Minerals, Milan, Aromaleigh, Terra Firma, Valerie Beauty %26amp; sometimes Alima, MAD %26amp; Everyday Minerals.

Concealer: for regular concealing/blemish cover, I love Lumiere's Healing Concealer, Corrective powders I'll use mainly Aromaleigh and Everyday Minerals, for undereye circles, I use a product that was made for me by the owner of Lumiere as a tester. Generally, on most days I don't need much concealer (if any) with mineral foundation though.

Mascara: Jane Iredale PureLash Lengthening mascara (w/ or w/o the PureLash conditioner, depends on mood and time) -love this for everyday, it's not only pretty natural, but it looks natural, but my eyelashes but better. For waterproof blinc Kiss Me mascara wins hands down! --even though it isn't natural. lol

Eyeliner: *see eyeshadow above %26amp; for lazy times/eyeliner pencils I use Jane Iredale and Zosimos Botanicals (highlighter pencil).

Primer (eye and/or face): *liquid primers* Lumiere Perfecting Primer or Camellia Rose Skin Smoothing Primer. Both are awesome and don't know which I like better...smooths out the canvas beautifully %26amp; fills in the pores. *powder primers* Aromaleigh Nocturne %26amp; MAD Exquisite Minerals - both are actually nighttime treatment powders, but I find they both work great under makeup as well %26amp; are great for when my skin is sensitive. I like Aromaleigh much better though, but both are really nice...just MAD's is a bit pale/white-ish.

Face Moisturizer: I use emu oil from Lure Beauty on my entire face...love this stuff! It moisturizes like nothing else, helps correct my oil production (lack there of, but also helps others with correcting oily skin), helps heal my sensitive skin %26amp; blemishes %26amp; plumps out my skin..making pores and fine lines appear smaller/less noticeable. For under eyes I use mainly what emu oil I put on my face, plus Diminish clear emu oil from Lumiere and/or Squalane (olive derived) from Lure Beauty. I also enjoy some natural skincare products from Camellia Rose and Aubrey Organics, that I'll use mainly at nighttime over my emu oil.

Nail Polish: I just get the cheap stuff! I only paint my toes ';colors'; %26amp; I'll use Wet N' Wild, N.Y.C. and whatever else is under $2/bottle. WnW %26amp; NYC do have some very nice colors though and they wear well. Fingernails: I actually (lol) like Yves Rocher ...found out by accident, but that company is good for nail polish and that's the only thing I like from them...their french manicure polishes are very nice and I like their clear as well (and it's CHEAP)...with nails it's either clear or french for me. lol

Wow, that is a lot of brands %26amp; I think that's it...at least the ones I ';go to';. I'm almost embarrassed. lol

Just a couple days. The products are cheap, and you kind of get what you pay for...

The good thing about it is you can try different colors for very little money, but overall the quality just wasn't good.

I hope you like them better than I did!How long did it take you to get your E.L.F. Cosmetics??
e.l.f. products are not good, you can go right to super kmart, or big lots and they have them. I bought some..they were only a dollar, and it just isn't really a good product, but like she said, you can play eith them to see what 'real'; colors you would want to purchase.

I just purchased H.I.P from cvs and I like them already!

Premanent Cosmetics? Would you consider having your makeup done?

I am a Permanent Cosmetic Artist. I am curious as to the age ranges %26amp; opinions of the general responses. I am in my 30's I have had all of the facial permanent cosmetic procedures %26amp; I love it! I have my eyebrows, eyeliner (french style) %26amp; my lips done. I am curious to see if it's something most women would consider? I wake up and put on some powder, mascara %26amp; lip gloss %26amp; go... The procedures are not so drastic that I can not change my look! But I never have to worry if my lip color has come off or smeared or if my eye liner needs touched up. I can still dress my face up with eye shaddow, blush %26amp; change my lip color with tinted gloss or lipstick if I want too! The simplicity of it is I can still change my look! I feel like I look great even when I waken in the morning or just out of the shower. You can check out my site for more information or if your interesated in learning the trade. I work for a Permanent Cosmetics School %26amp; I have been a Makeup Artist for 13 years.Premanent Cosmetics? Would you consider having your makeup done?
i would never get that done. it's kind of lazy to spend that much money so you don't have to do your makeup every day.Premanent Cosmetics? Would you consider having your makeup done?
I'm getting my brows done on Saturday. Report Abuse

Iam a female 25 and i would never do it because i like change. I like my colors to go with my outfit and i like doing my make up different all the time.
    no
personally, I would never consider having my makeup done with permanent cosmetics. i love doing my own make up everyday and i love to take time to do it. in reality it doesn't really take that long to put on some eyeliner and lip liner and if it comes off then no prob, i can reapply in a second and or I can go natural. i also embrace my natural face... so to answer your question, i would say NEVER. family members have it and they seem to be happy with it. works for them, but not for me. i feel gorgeous right out of the shower anyway, with no makeup.
I like dramatic change to much especially as a model to consider that and I'm only 18. But I think it would be a good thing for women who wear make up on the daily and don't steer to far from change.
I am in my 30's. I can see the appeal of always having a bit of color on your face wether you're sleeping, swimming, etc. But I wouldn't personally chance it. My husband's cousin (30-ish) got it done last year, and she was told that she was getting a chocolate brown eyeliner put on. It looked Morticia black to me, so the woman offered to redo it at no charge. It turned out even darker. She is livid. I suppose it all depends on where you go, but I'd rather apply abd wash off at the end of the day.
i'm really sorry, but i personally don't like permanent cosmetics... i think they're pretty scary. i mean, you won't ever be able to have normal, un-eye-shadowed eyes again, even if you wanted to! it'll look like you're wearing make-up in your sleep!
I have a friend that does that, and hers looks OK, but I wouldn't want my lips the same color all the time. I think hers is kinda dark. She's in her 40's. I would consider getting permanent eyeliner as long as it looked natural. Her's does.

Hey...my grandmother just had her lips done, she's 84!!!

    I went to see her in Florida and we ate out, and I was like ';granny, how is it that your lipstick is still on?';

    She said ';well it's permanent!';

    She said she looked around at her old friends with their lipstick runnin up the wrinkles around their mouths and she said ';I'll NEVER look like that!';

Yeah....Granny's a girly girl. She's considering an ankle bracelet type of tattoo!

She has a purple bedroom, and after 45 years of the same dark purple carpet...just got new carpet...purple!

    I love her!!!!! She rocks!
i wud rather do it myself every day so i can go for whatever look i want

and the idea of needles near my eyes is creepy!!
I guest permanent cosmetics are good for some people but at 60 I have decided that doing myself, changing it totally with my mood, is best. I enjoy makeup and have accepted life that if someone sees me without makeup, oh well. The man of my life loves me with or without makeup!
    no its so unnatural

Burts Bee's has a good line, checkout health food stores. the body shop has a line as well, but I'm not too keen on their stuff. Remember that drinking water is your best friend for your skin, and then less make-up is always better too!
hello dear. u can go for Ayur products , those are from India. they are natural and herbal products, too good for any type of skin, or u could just make every thing from ur kitchen. like ur olive oil as cleanser and moisturizer, milk cream as a cream.
    Burt`s bee`s. (GREAT STUFF)
Try Bare Minerals.. www.bareminerals.com It's all natural and good for your skin..
    Bare minerals

What does cosmetics do to your face?

im a 7th grader and im doing a report on what cosmetics do to your face abd if they test it on animls i really need help withWhat does cosmetics do to your face?
Make you look prettier? What does cosmetics do to your face?
they may make you look better but it clogs your pores and causes pimples
some cosmetics break out your face depending on if you have sensitive skin, or what kind of product your using. A poorly made product can irritate the face and also cause break outs, black heads, white heads..

Some cosmetics even make your face age. I think you might wanna google it tho so u have some credible sources
Im in seventh grade too :]

    Some clog your pores

    Some actually HELP your skin

    Some make you look pretty

    Some make cause reactions

lol those are some points you can put on the report

    Hope it helps

  • Cosmetics In Your Luggage?

Do you know the minimum amount of makeup or cosmetics cream that your allowed to bring? Because I'm visiting my family and I have 14 aunts and I want to bring each of them lip gloss, eye shadow, cream, cleanser, and etc..Cosmetics In Your Luggage?
my dad works for an airline. ur alot to hav any amount of cosmetics in ur luggage. but if u want to carry it on ur not gonna be able to bring lipgloss for 14 people. put it in a bag and put it in ur luggage because if its in ur luggage and not ur carry on it dosnt matter because u cant acces it while ur on the planeCosmetics In Your Luggage?
You can put whatever quantity you want in your suitcase if you're checking it.

In your carry-on bag, you can only bring liquids or gels in very small containers - maybe 3 or 6 oz, and only what can fit in 2 Zip lock bags. Non-liquidy stuff like eye shadow or blush are fine - you can load up on them in your carry-on.
I am pretty sure there is no minimum. I know lots of people that bring no cosmetics. If you mean maximum, I don't think there is a maximum amount so long as it isn't in your carry-on but in your checked luggage. Where are you flying to? I am assuming that you are flying. You didn't provide enough info.
it all has to be 3oz or less and in a quartbag. thats if its a carry on. if its checked it doesnt matter, but airtight is best so it wont be all over everything else your bringing.
just pack it in your checked baggage and there is no problems

Anyone on here work for M*A*C cosmetics? If so do you love your job and how did you get it?

I love mac makeup and I was thinking about applying for a job with the company. any information at all about how to go about getting this type of job would be helpful. Thanks!Anyone on here work for M*A*C cosmetics? If so do you love your job and how did you get it?
I dont work for MAC but i knew a few artist who do.... The best way to apply would be to call your local mac store and ask them if they are hiring. If they are you will go through a series of interviews. There will be a few one on one interviews and an audition where you bring your own model in and they ask you to recreate a specific look on your model. You are to use their brushes and their make up which they provide for the audition. If you want to be a freelance make up artist contracted through MAC you would still start by calling your local MAC store and they will tell you to bring in and drop off your resume then you start the interview process if they feel by your resume that you would be a good candidate. Some artist that i know say the interview process took months and the few artist that were accepted to be freelance say that it took, some upwards to 6 months, to get their MAC Pro information.

Some information can be found at their site:

www.maccosmetics.comAnyone on here work for M*A*C cosmetics? If so do you love your job and how did you get it?
YES YES, then you can smoother me with makeup... more more more!! LOL

Would you finance your Cosmetic Surgery?

That just sounds ridiculous to me, I was over hearing a conversation today in a cab...ok I was ease dropping, but the girl was talking so damn loud on her phone.. anyway, she was saying she was planning on financing her surgery, I'm not sure what she got done or was planing on getting done, but that just sounds wrong, If you can't afford it, don't do it. Just think of the doctors you'll be working with, I doubt that it would be the best. How can you finance something like that?Would you finance your Cosmetic Surgery?
I think its relatively easy to get credit for cosmetic surgery.

I wouldn't do it because I don't like using credit except for necessity.Would you finance your Cosmetic Surgery?
Loans!! Credit! The majority of people can not pay cash for large purchase. Car, House, College, Engagement Rings, Wedding Rings, Weddings, Vacations.........etc. It doesn't mean you can't afford something because you can't pay for it with cash.
I was looking up ways for my friend so she can tie her tubes and I think its capital one credit card company that will let u pay so much down then 250.00 a month. (something like that) Anyways she probably using her credit to do it and on a credit card half down.Unless her parent are going to help her some people who are young have to have some parental consent.
maybe im just capricious but i believe in getting what you want by the hook or by the crook. hell, you might be dead 5 years from now. get what you want today.
i would and i plan to also. i want to get a tummy tuck done. i had a baby 10 months ago and my stomach looks like it got into a fight with a weedwacker and the weedwacker won. (stretch marks and loose skin is NOT attractive...) im only 21, i dont want to look like this for the rest of my life. besides, i practice celibacy now, so no more kids.
Yes I have heard of people doing that. I mean I have even seen commercials and magazine ads that give you a variety of options to pay for your surgeries.
I know someone who bought a burger at Burger King using a credit card....so they technically financed a whopper.
Nothing wrong with that. It is common to pay for orthodontic work that way, financed by the doctor/dentist, and this sounds no different.

I'm don't think I'd much like for anyone near to me to have cosmetic surgery in any case, unless they were correcting disfigurement, but that is a personal choice everyone can make for him or herself.
if god wanted you perfect he would have made you that way...cosmetic surgery is not for you

MAC cosmetics bad for your skin?

I tried the MAC studio stick foundation. I didn't care for it at all. It made me break out and it felt greasy. Plus it didnt stay on. It made my eyeliner run. Has anyone else had this experience with MAC?

I use Aveda makeup, burts bees skin care sephora specialty products and Brocatto shampoo.... I love emMAC cosmetics bad for your skin?
Trite answer, but it's true- everybody's skin chemistry is unique, so what works great for some people makes others break out. Some makeup is formulated more for dry skin, which can be too oily/clogging for oily or sensitive skin.

However, some brands are generally less prone to causing breakouts than others. Artistry is the only brand I've tried that keeps my skin clear...MAC cosmetics bad for your skin?
Everyone's skin is different, so everyone is going to have different reactions to different products. You just have to search what product you like.

I went from Clinique to Este Lauder to Mary Kay and MAC is actually good for me...but I have normal to dry skin.
Actually, it works well with me.

Read more reviews of MAC product here...
It's matters what your skin type is
Why don't you try MAC studio fix pressed powder foundation? I use this and it does not leave my face greasy and you can make the coverage as light as you want or as heavy as you want and it's not greasy. Maybe the sales person didn't know what they were doing. If you say that you don't like greasy make up they should have guided you away from the heavy liquid foundation. But anyway everyone is different, in my opinion though I think that MAC is the best since I have tried everything under the sun.
i guess it's different for everybody
I have heard that it's true, especially the pancake makeup. (did I spelled it right). That's why I don't use it. It is know for being good at covering imperfections but it can make your face break out if you have oily skin cause it clogs your pores. Buy something Oi;-Free.

  • Whats your favourite LUSH cosmetics product?

i adore lush%26lt;3 i like the massage barsWhats your favourite LUSH cosmetics product?
I love all the products! They're all so amazing! My absolute favorite would have to be the Cupcake Fresh Face Mask! The black pot lasts a really long time, and it works really well! It smells so good, and it makes you skin so soft! I love it so much! It is a great product. This is the only face mask I've used, but I'm really excited about trying more of them!!!Whats your favourite LUSH cosmetics product?
I love the massage bars, the ';therapy bar'; and ';strawberry feels forever';. ALSO like two body butters ';king of skin'; and ';buffy';. I have all of these products.

I have ';I should co co'; soap as well.

Other products that I like but don't own yet are, yummy yummy yummy shower creme, whoosh jelly, sugar babe, dream time temple balm and smitten hand cream.
Bath bombs and soap!! Also the lip balm looks good... :DDD
Definitely the bath bombs :) gorgeous
I love the bath bombs! They smell so lovely!

What is your opinion on MAC cosmetics?

The eye colors and blushes are great. Great colors and long lasting stay. However, I dont care to much for the foundations. They made me break out. For foundations I use Clinique, you can go to the counter and find your right shade and ask for samples and try them at home. I like Superfit and Dewy Smooth.

Good Luck. What is your opinion on MAC cosmetics?
Well i don't really use make up much but I Love MAC products. the shadows are awesome! and the Lip Glass is my favorite! What is your opinion on MAC cosmetics?
Absolutely love it! Most of my makeup is from MAC. I can go there and easily spend 200 dollars! They have the best colors...so vibrant and their foundation matches my skin perfectly! Customer service is always good...
I like MAC a lot, lots of products, tons of colors, good quality, and the prices are not bad for a dept. store brand.
Great!! They are just gud as like Smashbox, NARS, etc. but is a lot cheaper and works JUST AS WELL. Id definitely reccomend it. Its kinda a modern makeup place so if youre like 60 id reccomend other makeup places.
    amazing.
it has a huge color variation so you can find the color which you want on eyeshadows lipsticks glosses ,and it has different finishes like satin frost lustre ext..i love it but i also like bobbi brown, laura mercier that they are more wearable in daily life
Very good quality but it`s expensive. You can do the same thing with cheaper brands like Maybelline and Covergirl.
Good make-up!!! But you have to try Laura Gellers make-up, really good. Go on qvc.co.uk. Then go to the beauty site, then to Laura Geller, really brill.
MAC has fantastic makeup! And it is all worth the money. The lipgloss shines for hours (no lie) and the eyeshadow doenst come off with water or by touch. I highly reccomend it.

There is so much more but too many to list here. I'm like a skincare / bath and body junkie.
I personally like a lot of drugstore brands, like CoverGirl, Maybelline, Annabelle, L'Oreal. Maybelline and CG have gotten a lot better in quality! : )

I'm almost embarrassed. lol

I really don't worry much about my lip gloss, Dior Addict makes a good one, but it's such a waste to spend so much money on a pricey lip gloss when they are so many good inexpensive ones around. Chapstick of course is essential, and I would say Covergirl Wetslicks
