it is not needed, nor wise, other species are genetically composed differently, and would react to chemicals different than humans, giving false positives or negatives, mammals like rats, or animals like pigs, are as close as testing can get, but still far off enough that parallels in resolve are obsolete,
best is to use persons that volunteer for allergies and reactions, note that if it is deemed hazardous in the first place, it may be that of the cause itself to not use,
..What are your views on testing cosmetics on animals?
better to test on an animal than to send the product into the marketplace, let people use it, and then figure out that it's causing some sort of problem.
That being said, it should be done in a humane way, and the animals should not feel discomfort during the tests. If they are testing a face cream, then put it on the animals skin the way a person would...don't make them bathe in it for a week, you know?
Just my opinionWhat are your views on testing cosmetics on animals?
Not matter the animal they do not deserve to be tested on. Any animal can feel pain and no animal should live a life time in a small cage being tested on day after day. What kind of life is that? besides it has been shown just because a product shows no signs on an animal does not mean it will not on a person. So inflecting pain on a living creature is meaningless and cruel.
You mean like lipstick on a pig?
Well you do know they put fish scales in lipstick (Makes them sparkle) and we wouldn't have known if that was safe to do without them pigs....
Hmm gives new meaning to fish-lips doesn't it
Depends on the animal. If your talking about a rat, then I could care less. If your talking about a cat or a puppy, then I would say no way! :)
